My mother is heading back over to Africa this Sunday. I think this time she'll do a two week stint there and if she likes the place she's going - she'll probably stay there for a few months maybe even up until the summer.

She had visited a village there and they were trying to teach the elders how to read and write but they lacked reading glasses. so my mother came back here, and bought 20 pairs of glasses then got a donation from someone for another 60 pairs. so now these people in a village so poor they have to use newspapers for toilet paper...will at least have the opportunity to learn or to read (b/c they will be able to see) and write for the first time.

This time she'll be helping out in a juvi detention center - which honestly makes me a little nervous...she's a little too trusting sometimes and in Africa...you can't be that trusting, she knows this and told me this but still...so I'm slightly nervous about this one. but she's doing what she wants to do, what she thinks she wants to do...help people.

Halloween Aftermath

My most favorite time of the year.

After three days of parties I'm...

Tired. Exhausted. Happy.

Yesterday went downtown with a good friend to a area which is like a foreign food bizzarre. Various types of food and liquior that you cant normally find at local supermarkets are sold there for very good prices. It was a interesting place and I was happy I chose to go with her.

later in the day. Got some Thai food and headed outside to a sitting area where we had good conversation and enjoying each other's company.

At one moment I started to feel something on my leg a slightly pinching sensation. Curious, I looked under the table and discovered that wed managed to sit above a huge colony of ants underneath and a dead cockroach. It was the biggest one Ive ever seen. I'd call it a Madascar flying cockroach - or the ones you see in Texas or south america. It was being swarmed by ants. Im not too fond of ants so I jumped up which prompted G to jump up after noticing what I noticed. We both run to the sidewalk in an utter panic.

But I still had that slightly pinching sensation on my leg beneath my jeans and I figured it was probably a few ants so I reached down to brush them off from under my jeans but it wasnt an ant. It was a huge cockroach about 2 inches long and about an inch wide.

I SCREAMED bloody murder and shook my leg vigorously. It flew off onto it's back, flipped over and crawled away... right over G's, who wore flip flops feet. She screamed. I screamed. We both screamed and ran away.

Fire Dancing?

I found a fire dance class. Starts in September. Going to give it a try, should be kind of fun/interesting.

My partner's sister's step-kid loves me. During the bbq a few weeks ago I apparently became her new best friend. Enough so that every since the dinner, she's had an imaginary friend that sleeps with her and enjoys tea time named after me. How cute is that?

All gay men get into relationships with women so that they can appear to be straight.
All gay men lie.
All gay men are flamboyant and will use you.
All gay men are evil.

And if you don't believe this, then you obviously have been brain washed by the media and are trying to be politically correct like the rest of society as being gay has suddenly become trendy and accepted as the norm.

If you believe that gays and transgenders aren't anything but fucked up in the head, then there's something wrong with you.

this is what K's roommate said when arguing with the new roommate as we sat down to dinner yesterday, turning a perfectly great evening into something evil and hateful. i don't believe this, i've never believed this, and frankly i can't stand to be around people who believe this. and as she was saying these words, E and I just looked at each other in amazement. It came out of nowhere, it came out of left field, and she was in the minority as the other two dinner guests were quiet and as surprised as we were. It was quite wild.

I didn't say anything at first - I'd 3 glasses of wine and some lemon liquor, but sobered up soon after the conversation escalated. Imagine poor E who JUST MOVED IN a week ago, having to defend herself and being screamed at by this woman.

Later, when we thought everything was over, N. apparently wanted the last word, so she confronted us both as we sat on the couch talking about the (3) cats they have not mentioning the disagreement saying something like "This was her home and she spent $88 dollars on dinner and for us not to help them in the clean up (after dinner) was rude and how dare we make her feel unappreciated and uncomfortable and shitty in her own household." then started in on the gay issue again. And that's when I started.

I didn't pick my shit up and leave, like I wanted to (i didn't want to leave e or k there as i think it would have made matters much worst if i had) but honestly, i don't live there and i don't like people throwing shit into my face and if she felt shitty that's on her. i (we) felt fine. the reason she felt shitty is on her. she has to deal with that shit and it honestly just pushed my buttons. so i told k i wasn't having dinner with them (her) again. i don't want to be with anyone so damn hateful and besides, i've my own home, i figure if he wants to see me he can come over. for now though - i'll just stay my distance. things were talked about apologies made - i didn't make any, i won't apologize. period. if i said it. i meant it. so i will go over there - i LOVE E and of course K but i won't be going over there to eat or hang out with anyone other than those two. as of now, N has lost her privileges with me.

damn. that just pisses me off.

Racist Bitch.
