Before I left for Europe, I got to spend the night at a condo, over the water in Malibu. Perhaps worth 3 million or so. It was out near Pepperdine, private beach (when the tide isnt in), and the remains of the home built like a castle on the top of the hill (it finally burnt in the last fire). You could hear the waves gently hitting the bottom of the building, the same waves that would eventually rock me to sleep and wake me in the morning. The balcony over looked the water and on it you could see for miles.
It was a nice spot. Quiet. The people who own it were minimalist so not much clutter at all. And being there made me think of paradise of sorts.
This was the same night that I gathered with my friends in the fire community at the beach to watch some of the visiting "masters" do their thing and where I got lost in hand drumming for the hours I was there. I believe some news crew took many photos but I never got their name or where exactly they were from. Earlier in the day, I spent filming a demo/promo with my current fire troupe getting lost with the experience of bonding and fire spinning with them.
Now I sit in Europe in a quaint little internet cafe, fending off the last remnants of a cold that took my voice as well as escaping the rain and waiting to meet new friends to go on some new adventure.
Life´s been good to me... I have absolutely no complaints to what has given me thus far. Its been a rollarcoaster... since youre reading this hope youve been enjoying the ride as much as I have.
